Idyl is an experiment that explores the relationship between photography and sound. The images were made in Finland during a month long residency in 2015. The audio portion of this project comes directly from the images. Tones are generated by inputting the scanned photos into sound editing software and then layered and filtered as one might do to an image in photo editing software. The end results of these experiments were eerie continuous tones that created an Idyl for the landscape.
